Just a little over 2 hours till Game 5 Giants Dodgers. If this game was a
hurricane, it would be a CAT 5 event in the sporting world. Only the 14th time in major baseball history has 2 teams faced each other in the playoffs with more than 100 wins each going at least back to 1961 when the 162 game seasons started. Yet very little fanfare nationally. Historically you can look back to 1951 in a 3 game series to decide the National League pennant when the Giants Bobby Thomson hit a 3 run homer in the bottom of the 9th and beat the Dodgers 5 to 4. Very few if any on this board probably witnessed this legendary event in real-time known as the Shot Heard Round the World. Spooky things have already occurred in the series when a weather front in game 3 produced 45 mph gusts and the temperature plummeted to the low 50s. The wind preventing at least 2 Dodger Home Runs that probably would have won the game. This sort of thing makes me believe we might actually be in a simulation. A 70 year event could be happening again.
